Isabella was very clean and comfortable and everything we could possibly need for our stay was provided. The quality and quantity of the breakfast supplies exceeded our expectations and the bonus grazing board and wine were a nice inclusion. Di was a wonderful host, very accommodating and prompt with communications. The house is within easy walking distance of Piper Street and all pubs, clubs, cafes and restaurants. We had a lovely, relaxing, long weekend stay in Isabella’s Cottage. We enjoyed every aspect including: - Amazing host host Dianne, who made sure we had everything we needed, and was great to communicate with. - Generous, quality breakfast provisions, which are tailored to dietary restrictions. I especially appreciated this being gluten intolerant. - Full size kitchen with everything you need, including condiments, spreads, oil, foil, etc - Quiet street with no problem parking - Great location, walking distance from Kyneton’s cafes, restaurants and shops - Nice outdoor area, which was great for breakfast, and dinner on warm summer days - Everything we needed was provided, including handy things like sunscreen - Useful information on things to do was provided online before hand - It was nice to have a whole house to ourselves, so had plenty of space, not like some smaller places Of course we can’t wait to stay again. Breakfast exceeded our expectations - i was thinking it would be cereal and white toast. But were surprised to have locally made crumpets and jam, with fresh eggs and bacon which we all enjoyed! Having a washing machine is always a bonus when travelling. Lots of clean linen, eg towels and robes which was lovely. My sister ended up staying one night as well as there are 3 bedrooms which made the last minute choice easy. We notified Di in the morning and she adjusted the rate easily. Nice to have that choice when you need it and there was enough food for us all to enjoy a cooked breakfast.

There wasn't anything i didn't like about the property - it was clean and tidy and the host Di was easily reachable when we needed her and resolved our issue very quickly so we were very happy with our stay. The bed was slightly too hard for our liking - but understand that a lot of people like hard mattresses etc so not really an issue. Maria Booking.com March 2024

We were very happy to have a range of breakfast foods and condiments (including gluten free by special request) available for us to use in the cottage and included in the tariff. The cottage was well located on a pretty street (a very short walk to all the lovely cafes, restaurants and shops in Piper Street), very clean, quick and easy to heat with both a gas fire and ducted heating, and well prepared with items and quality amenities for up to six guests. I loved the personalized attention to our requirements for breakfast, and the follow up emails that made me feel welcome and attended to. The history of the house is a bonus and makes you feel like you're getting a private tour of another time. The house is beautifully presented and is a little gem of a previous era - like the outside dunny - with modern conveniences - enough not to spoil the ambiance. “Great communication (even calling to ask what we wanted for breakfast), easy check-in, clean and well presented property that was very comfortable and right within walking distance of everything. We really appreciated the extra touches and attention to detail, including things like teapot with tea cosy, focus on minimising waste (including food scrap bin), towel stands in each bedroom (to avoid towel mix ups with multiple guests), toiletries provided, Bluetooth music speaker, helpful labels on where to find (and how to use) things. We also really enjoyed the cosy living room with easy to use gas log fire. Would highly recommend this property to all!”

“We stayed at Isabella at Kyneton in Autumm. We appreciated the glorious shades of leaves and it was ideal walking weather. The garden is well maintained. BBQ and umbrella as well as outdoor furniture are available. Breakfast provisions are generous and all dietary requirements are catered for. The beds are very comfortable with good quality linen and warm doonas. A gas log fire was already alight when we arrived, and fresh flowers and chocolates were pleasant additions. Towels are thick, soft and fluffy. Chemical free toiletries and detergents are also provided. A coffee machine and delicious locally sourced ground coffee, as well as various teas, jams, bread, bacon, eggs, milk and cooking essentials meant we were able to eat breakfast before setting off to explore the area. We visited Animus Gin Distillery and can recommend the service as well as the gin! We enjoyed the bakery called Grist as well. Take a stroll down Piper Street and explore the eclectic shops or walk along the Campaspe River. Isabella is furnished tastefully and in keeping with the period of the house. We thoroughly recommend this gorgeous house. Dianne was prompt to respond to emails and text messages. She even contacted us on the first day to check that all was to our satisfaction”.
